How Best began
Best Injury Lawyers was founded after more than a decade of experience in insurance litigation and compensation law.
Our Principal, Ryan Stehlik, previously acted for insurers in defending claims. That work involved assessing liability and quantum, reviewing medical and employment material, analysing evidence, and running disputes through the pre-court and court processes.
Over time, Ryan decided to establish Best Injury Lawyers to use his knowledge gained in experience, for the benefit of Best’s client. Best Injury Lawyers opened their doors in 2020. The team focuses on assisting individuals and families who are navigating the legal system after an injury or purusing other types of compensation.

How we charge (summary)
Whether we can act for you, and on what terms, depends on the facts of your matter and an assessment of prospects. We take the time to understand each case, before offering to act. Our approach is to provide access to justice when people may not otherwise be able to afford legal representation.
Where appropriate, we may offer a conditional costs arrangement (“no win, no fee”), meaning our professional fees and disbursements are payable only in the circumstances set out in the costs agreement. We apply a 30% + GST professional fee cap. We do not charge care and consideration or uplifts.
